Before I starting seeing Heather for regular acupuncture, I suffered from migraines 2-3 times a month. Thanks to this treatment, I haven't had a migraine for over 6 months now, which is such a relief. I have a monthly treatment now, more for my general wellbeing.

I had a course of acupuncture with Heather. She always listened carefully and along with being highly skilled had a kind, sympathetic and wholesome approach to healing. IF you want to do acupuncture but are scared of needles she is the right person to go to.

Tom got straight to the root of the problem - I had been suffering from neck pain for two months and it was getting worse. I could not look over either shoulder and I was experiencing headaches and pain in my right arm. I could feel the tension in my neck and knew that a trip to the GP would be a waste of time - I would be given painkillers, not a cure. After two sessions with Tom I am completely back to normal and feel as though I am walking on air.

My son had been misdiagnosed with short achilles tendon for years. After discovering this we tried to get help in the country we live but success was marginal. As my daughter was very happy with the treatment Tom Bedford had given her, we made an appointment with Summeara. I was impressed with the progress she achieved in just three sessions. My son stopped twisting his ankles and knees when walking, started walking with his knees apart and can even run well. His mood improved and he is smiling more frequently now. Summeara heard my concerns and reassured me that what I'm doing is correct. She helped me understand that if my son's body suffers his soul will suffer too, and his confidence is as important for his health as all the sports he is trying at. I have used Tom since 2007 and the first thing I do when I arrive every summer from the U.S. is to make an appointment to sort out my pain from several surgeries. I ALWAYS feel much better! I've never found anyone as good as Tom--from the U.S. to the U.K. Thank you!

I had suffered from pain in my lower back for a prolonged period of time and it came to a head when I was reduced to tears in a yoga class. A friend recommended that I see Tom for some treatment; after one session the pain in my back had almost completely vanished and after two I felt like a new woman. Since having treatments with Tom I've been back doing things that I had avoided due to the constant low level pain that I was suffering. An excellent practitioner who, unlike some others I have come across in the past, doesn't encourage you to undertake any more treatment than you actually need. I have no qualms about recommending him, or the practice, to everyone that I know.

The service was so friendly. The receptionist was lovely and helpful. I laughed all the time on the table - and had a good conversation about the world. When I walked in I was in pain from back ache and my right ankle was swolen. After a couple of sessions I had more mobility and less pain Summeara was helpful with a medical report and I thoroughly recommend her.

I had an car accident and got neck pain after the accident. After sent an email i decide to come in person to get more information. Luckily Tom's free this afternoon, so I had my treatment right a way. It was quick and effective. Like tom said, it was painless!

I’d been suffering with lower back pain for years, but had always been sceptical about visiting an osteopath. I visited Tom after he had been recommended by a work colleague, and was amazed at the results. After only a few treatments the pain disappeared and my flexibility increased dramatically. I have now been completely trouble free for over 2 years.

When I first visited, I was in severe pain and unable to walk more than about 100 metres; I feared that I might be becoming crippled for life (I'm in my mid-60's). Weekly visits for manipulation gradually eased the cause of the distress, and as I improved, so the visits became fewer. Now I just need occasional manipulation, am active and can walk three miles with ease - something I never imagined I would do again.

According to Tom, Bill Gates is seen by his profession as the Patron Saint of Osteopaths, for as we contort our bodies by sitting at desks in front of PCs, the more likely it is that we will need osteopathic intervention. Although Tom charges slightly more than his colleagues at his practice on account of his experience and expertise, it is a worthwhile investment for the client, and I hope that his case load is never so full that he is unable to accommodate me

Tom is an authority in his field, and, at our first session, he gave the air of having encountered my issue countless times, which was reassuring. He took a little time to explain what my problem is and what its cause was – which again made me feel that I was in safe hands – and he also pointed out that the problem was such that I shouldn’t have to be on his books for too long. Clearly, Tom was more interested in practising his art than taking money from me, which added to the confidence and trust I had in him. He is personable and friendly but, most importantly, the diagnosis he provided for my back made sense, and the short daily stretching routines he suggested have hit the mark, making me feel whole and centred again, not cut in half by a precarious back, nor left with nagging doubts about it. In short, I’m able to move as I did before the problem ever arose. Tom was recommended by a friend after I mentioned that I suffered from lower back pain. This problem had existed for about seven or eight years, on and off, and before visiting 51 St Clements, I’d been to four other osteopaths and chiropractors in and around Oxford. All of them had provided me with adequate treatment and reasonable advice, but it was only after visiting Tom that I realized that none of them had really hit the spot.
