After a bad fall the muscles round my lower back area went into spasm and locked the lower vertebrae on my back, as a consequence I could not move freely but after the third treatment with Tom Bedford, as recommended by my best friend, I was able to reassume my normal life and feel human again, now I am pain free and enjoying physical activities

After a work related injury, I suffered from intermittent numbness and severe pain in both my arms and hands, and tendonitis in my elbows. After more than 2 years of unsuccessful investigations and treatment from my GP and hospital consultants, my wife recommended Tom (who had previously successfully treated her long-standing neck and shoulder problems). After three sessions of Tom’s treatment and recommended aftercare, the tendonitis cleared up. Shortly afterwards, I was diagnosed with a new impingement in my neck, which Tom manipulated over two sessions. This decreased the numbness in my arms dramatically and I was able to get a decent night’s sleep and return to work for the first time in over two years. Tom’s treatment and advice has been a relief and a revelation, I have no hesitation in recommending him.

I have suffered with back problems ever since I was a teenager when I had a spinal op to correct a curvature of the spine by inserting a metal rod to straighten the upper third. I also have a slightly rotated ribcage which means that my back is never in the position it should be in. I spent years trying to find a practitioner who could help me maintain my spinal health as from time to time I suffer bouts of pain, sprains and extreme stiffness which can be debilitating, as my spine is under a lot of pressure and my back in general has to work very hard to function. I have only ever found two people whose treatment was effective; one is now in Australia, the other is Tom Bedford. I see him whenever I feel that my back is "about to go" although sometimes I leave it a bit too long and I am in severe pain by the time I see him. I'd had severe right shoulder/arm pain since August 07 - hard to dress, sleep at night etc. Physiotherapy was making little difference. After one session with Tom in March 08 I was 50% better, after 2nd session a week I later was 75% better, and after the third session 95%. The effect seems to be permanent/sustained: I write this three weeks later. My only regret is I didn't see Tom months earlier.

I was recommended to Tom by a friend after a particularly severe case of a nerve being pinched in my back effecting strength and movement in my left arm. Not only was this causing an extreme amount of pain but was also affecting my state of mind. Initially I was sceptical that this could be resolved by osteopathy treatment, however over a course of treatment covering two months all movement was restored and in fact I ended up with more movement. Being a very active individual I have since managed to increase strength and flexibility and am more focussed when I train and at work.

Tom is the first practitioner that I have come across in 16 years of wrist pain that had seen my particular problem before and was able to correctly diagnose and treat the problem. Two months ago my wrist was unusable and now I can not only hold shopping bags with that hand, but I have taken up yoga again. In the near future I look forward to being able to play the violin! As someone who has lived with a complex of illnesses for the last 15 years, it takes someone who is exceptionally perceptive, sensitive, and most importantly, inspires confidence, to help me with the pains I suffer in my back and arms. I know that when the pains flare up, after a session with Tom Bedford, the treatment I’ve received not only removes the aches and pains, but gives me more energy and mobility, as well as rejuvenates me mentally.

I had a painful low back and a trapped sciatic nerve, giving me pain down my right leg to my ankle and foot. I started seeing Tom in 2008 for lower back pain and tight neck and shoulders. After the first session I felt immediate relief. After several sessions I now see him every couple of months or so for a top up treatment. Tom always takes time to listen to what I have to say and understands immediately the often odd descriptions of symptoms I give him. After helping relatives move, I had a trapped nerve in my upper vertebrae which massage had not addressed. The pinched nerve had severely limited my head movement and caused serious pain. Two sessions with Tom and I was back in great shape. A wonderful investment!

The BBC World Service has just lost a local listener! Severe pain in my left leg and hip had been waking me up at 2.00 or 3.00 am for days, and the only relief I could get was by sitting bolt upright or standing for hours. The World Service engaged my mind while the muscle spasms slowly relaxed, but one session with Tom brought longer lasting relief, and I was able to sleep through the night again. A second session appears to have resolved the problem. My thanks to the BBC, but most especially to Tom.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to Tom Bedford for sorting my back problems couldn't walk more than ten minutes and it was so uncomfortable thanks to tom I'm able to walk better without any pain at all. i definitely will recommend you to my colleagues thank you very much once again

I had had neck and lower back pain for many years being unable to stand for any length of time. After 1 session with Tom Bedford the neck pain went and after 3 sessions the back pain has gone too. Thank you Tom.
