Hypnotherapy, Counselling and Psychotherapy
I feel passionately about helping people to lead happier, more fulfilled and successful lives, without the redundant shackles of past negative or self-destructive habits. Modern therapy moves people forward without ruminating in and analysing depressing memories. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is a very effective, empowering, safe and enjoyable way to help with so many concerns, using clinically proven and up to date techniques with short-term therapy. With training in Counselling and Psychotherapy as well, I am experienced in working with a wide variety of problems in a sensitive, non-judgemental, safe and empathetic way. Hypnotherapy is helpful for changing unconscious habits and overcoming self-destructive behaviour (as well as accessing past memories if one chooses).
I work with a wide range of problems and particularly specialise in anxiety, low self-esteem and phobias. I also work with couples for relationship counselling. I like to adapt therapy to the individual needs of each client which might also mean learning some practical skills such as time management and realistic goal setting with life coaching.
There is nothing strange or other worldly about hypnotherapy, in fact it can feel quite familiar and the client never loses control
Trance is a natural process and an ability that we all possess, for example when we immerse ourselves in a good movie. I teach self-hypnosis to practise at home and this improves the experience and process.
I am a member of the Association for Solution Focused Hypnotherapy and the National Council of Hypnotherapy.
I am DBS checked for children and vulnerable adults.

In my late twenties I entered the much more fulfilling world of therapeutic practice and trained in Oxford and then at St. Charles Hospital in London at The UK Training College of Hypnotherapy and Counselling in the early 1990s and graduated from The UK College for Complementary Health Care Studies in 1995.
