Osteopathy explained in 4 simple steps
Osteopathy is a safe professional treatment centered on restoring pain free movement to the muscles and joints of the body. There are four stages in every consultation
Your consent to treatment and your case history
On arrival you will be asked to fill in a short consent form. Your Osteopath will take a history to discuss details of your current symptoms.
It is normally necessary to undress to some extent so that your Osteopath can examine the area requiring treatment and to assess how that area moves.
Osteopathy is very hands on! Usually the patient lies on a treatment table while the Osteopath works on the relevant muscles and joints.
Post treatment care
Where necessary, you are provided with stretches and exercises as well as advice on the "dos and don'ts" following treatment.
