Tom has nearly 20 years of experience of helping patients reduce pain and improve function through osteopathic treatment. Tom graduated with a first-class degree from the European School of Osteopathy in 1998 and began working as an Osteopath in East Oxford. Tom has extensive clinical and teaching experience and was a clinic tutor on the Oxford Brookes Osteopathy degree course for ten years. Tom has taught Osteopathic techniques to students in the UK and across Europe and continues to provide occupational health seminars to local organisations and businesses. He is a co-founder and former Chair of the award-winning Oxfordshire Osteopathic Network. In addition to running his own clinical practice Tom also works for the regulator of osteopathy, the General Osteopathic Council (GOsC). Tom has previously worked as an Assessor of Clinical Practice for GOsC but he currently sits on the Professional Conduct Committee, working as part of a panel that deals with complaints raised against osteopaths in the UK. When not involved in treating patients, teaching or healthcare regulation, Tom has a general interest in wildlife: he is a keen birder, photographer and conservationist as well as an enthusiastic cyclist and runner. Tom is married to Summeara Bedford and they have two children.
